Victoria Pollock has been providing a variety of counselling and outreach services at St James' Cathedral for ten years.

On July 1, 2010 she assumed the title Cathedral Associate, Pastoral Counselling. While continuing to provide some short-term counselling to members of the Cathedral community referred to her by the clergy and parish nurse, and teaching in the CAPPE program associated with the Toronto School of Theology, she now also offers longer-term counselling on a fee-paying basis.

Victoria welcomes enquiries from people who are discouraged in life or dealing with loss or grief, people with a history of trauma or addiction (in recovery) or people who want to deepen their sense of being alive and in communion with the Divine. Those who can be self-reflective would do well in such therapy. People who have a prayer life and seek a psychotherapy that honours and embraces their spirituality would also benefit.

Please call Victoria at 416-364-7865, ext. 227 for more information.

My Lord GOD, I have no idea where I am going.  I do not see the road ahead of me.  I cannot know for certain where it will end.  Nor do I really know myself, and the fact that I think I am following your will does not mean that I am actually doing so.  But I believe that the desire to please you does in fact please you.  And I hope I have that desire.  And I know that if I do this you will lead me by the right road, though I may know nothing about it.  Therefore I will trust you always though I may seem to be lost and in the shadow of death.  I will not fear, for you are ever with me, and you will never leave me to face my perils alone.
