Cathedral Centre to break ground!

The long-awaited restoration of St. James’ Parish House will break ground Monday, March 8, 2010 at 10:00am.

After more than ten years of research and planning, the Cathedral retained the services of architectsAlliance in 2008, a firm known worldwide for urban and sustainable building plans.

The Cathedral offices moved to temporary space at 152 King Street East in June 2009, prior to pre-demolition work beginning.

A ground-breaking ceremony marking the beginning of construction will take place on Monday, March 8, 2010 at 10:00am, and among the guests will be City Councilor Pam McConnell. Attendees are asked to RSVP to Cathy Waiten at 416-364-7865x251.

The Cathedral Centre is scheduled for completion in 2011.
